How is a Writer Like a Sculptor?
Last week in class, we did an activity with play-dough. We worked with our play dough to compare how a writer is like a sculptor. We learned that both writers and sculptors go through a process to create a final masterpiece! We let the creator part of us run wild as
we worked with our material to build a pencil holder.
SO FOCUSED!
We toyed with different ideas and structures as we did our pre-sculpting and sculpting. We conferred with our friends to get suggestions and feedback. We revised our pieces by looking at them from many different angles and perspectives!
Finally, we added the finishing touches to complete our pencil holders! Who knew a
writer was SO much like a sculptor?!
